The Mercado Central: The Mercado Central, or Central Market was constructed with materials from England in 1872 and then shipped to and assembled in Santiago. The market has a local flavor and offers dining, shopping and entertainment for all.
Palacio de La Moneda: La Moneda is a neoclassical splendor. The palace serves as the seat of government and is the Presidential residence.Encompassing an entire city block of Santiago, the Palacio symbolizes wealth and luxury.
Museums: Museo de Santiago, Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombinoand Museo Neruda (La Chascona) are the three main museums in Santiago, all of which are worth visiting. Most offer guided tours.
Vina Cousino Macul: This winery is as old as Santiago itself. Built in 1856, the winery is now open to visitors and offers wine tasting as well as a guided tour of the facility.
Tren de Vino : Take in the scenery of the Colcahgua Valley while riding on this wine train. This popular attraction also includes wine tasting and a traditional meal.
