St. Martin is one of the most gorgeous islands in the Caribbean. Located approximately 186 miles east of Puerto Rico, St. Martin was colonized by both the Dutch and the French. As a result, the southern side of the island, known as Sint Maarten, reflects the Dutch culture, while the northern side of the island, known as Saint-Martin, reflects the French culture.
