The capital of the USA, Washington DC is a city that is steeped in a rich and complex history. The National Mall:This is the heart of the city of DC, located just two miles from the White House. Library of Congress: This institution serves as the research portion of the US government. There are millions of publications stored and preserved here for future generations to use and admire.
Ford's Theater: This is the place where Abraham Lincoln was shot. Today, the theater is fully functioning and has been renovated to be more modern.
Luray Caverns: These cathedral sized caverns are a great way to see the natural wonders in the area. There are several different caverns that house sights that have formed over thousands of years.
Folger Shakespeare Library: This library houses a collection of materials that focus specifically on Shakespeare and other publications dating back to the Renaissance period. They also provide shows and plays.
