Ever wondered what the future of golf will look like? Then check out the new “Mercedes-Benz Vision Golf Cart”, an electric driven, battery powered cart that is continuously charged by a solar module integrated into the roof. The Vison Golf Cart will be controlled with a joystick mounted on the centre console, making it possible for both front seat golfer to drive at any given time.
To make it even more fun, the cart will use the latest technology such as a touch screen monitor to control virtually any aspect of the drive and a multimedia panel that includes a rotatable docking station for an iPad or iPhone and a USB interface. Nice!
Another great feature will be the head-up display which is integrated into the windscreen when the golf cart is stationary. Golfers will be able to check out the course layout, the current status of the game or weather information. The Vison Golf Cart will also feature Bluetooth technology to allow golfers to make calls via the loudspeaker system when on the move.
Instead of simply yelling out “fore” to warn other golfer of a stray ball, the Vision Golf Cart’s “fore button” will now warn all surrounding golfers within the danger zone with the simply push of a button.
The design of the new Vision Golf Cart takes its cues from a Mercdes-Benz car with elegant and ergonomically shaped seats that are either heated or ventilated and can be controlled via controls on the side of the seat. The cart will feature amble storage space to fit two golf bags, a small fridge, a designated compartment for balls and another one for umbrellas.
The Mercedes-Benz Vison Golf Cart is only a design study, but it does make our imagination run wild.
