Cote Sud is set into a very private and charming landscaped cul-de-sac behind an electronic gate on 1-1/2 landscaped acres offering breathtaking sunrise and sunset views.

As you pass through Cote Sud's entry portico, you're ushered into Cote Sud's grand main level: two steps down and straight ahead is the large living area, stylishly furnished with colorful ethnic pieces from around the world, surrounded by sliding glass doors opening out to a generous sun deck. The deck is partially sheltered by an overhang for shady relaxation, framed by stone pillars and garden planters, and bordered by an inviting infinity-edge pool where blues of pool, sea and sky merge. A large hot tub is set off to the side.

Just below, via a long staircase, is the shoreline and concrete pier, and the mesmerizing expanse of sparkling sea stretching to the far horizon. On one side of the living area is the air-conditioned media room, boasting a large, sink-into sectional sofa, a 50-inch flat-screen TV, and drawersful of DVD movies for your enjoyment.

Next door, the main level's king bedroom suite, also air-conditioned, is sleekly tailored in tropical citron and turquoise hues. On the opposite side is the spacious gourmet kitchen, beautifully executed with stainless steel appliances, handsome granite countertops, cherry cabinetry, and lavishly equipped with lovely tableware and lots of cook's tools. The air-conditioned exercise room, as well the laundry room, are just to the rear of the kitchen area. A covered garden terrace with a large dining table and chairs and a gas grill is just outside the living and kitchen areas, a cool and most inviting spot for shaded alfresco dining or quiet reading. A polished wooden staircase ascends from the main entry foyer to Cote Sud's upper level, finished with rich Brazilian cherry wood flooring. Here are three more air-conditioned bedroom/bath suites, all featuring en suite baths, beautifully tiled and fitted with glass shower stalls and designer vanities with vessel basins. The upper level's large king master suite on the east side, done in ocean blue, features its own privacy balcony with sea view, slider doors which open directly to the terrace, and has a desk with DSL and Wi-Fi for your laptop. This suite is completed by a spacious and sumptuous bath with both a multi-spray rain shower and a jacuzzi bathtub.

The other west-facing king suite is across the landing for excellent privacy; it's decorated in vibrant reds. This suite also opens onto the terrace and overlooks the Caribbean Sea. The fourth bedroom suite, which enjoys a peaceful garden view and has its own private balcony with an ocean vista beyond, offers two twin beds, but is versatile and may be made up as a fourth king suite if you wish, with advance notice. All upper-level suites have large cedar-lined closets.

On the upper level's landing is a wet bar with a mini-fridge, so convenient to the expansive terrace just outside. This central gathering spot, which overlooks wide-angled sea views, is set with comfortable seating for everyone and swept by cool island tradewinds. It's the ideal place to catch another glorious tropical sunset, icy drink in hand. Relax and discuss the day's pleasures before sitting down to dinner together. The gentle waves roll into shore below, soothing you after another sun-kissed day in Paradise, and on a clear evening, you may even see the lights of St. Croix wink on forty miles to the south. Cote Sud combines plush comfort with plentiful amenities, should you wish to simply read, nap and relax. You may beachcomb for shells and driftwood along the coral and pebble beach below, swim and snorkle off the dock, or trek the gated path to Green Cay 400 feet away next door to enjoy its usually-deserted white sand beach.
