5 Yacht Charters for the Ultimate Luxury Escape
Renting a luxury yacht for a few weeks is the ultimate way to unplug while feeling the breeze in your hair and taking in the sea air, while enjoying all of the comforts of home (and a few more) on the water. Years before launching LuxeInACity, president Roxanne spent some time working on luxury yachts and superyachts and is now somewhat of a ‘yacht connoisseur.’ Here, we’ve rounded up five that we think would be perfect for a summer sail, some of which Roxanne has previously worked on.
For the trip of a lifetime this summer, gather 12 of your best pals and step aboard one of the largest mega yachts in the world, the
TITANIA
. Built by the German shipyard Lürssen in 2006, then relaunched in 2012, the yacht measures 72 meters and features 6 guest cabins.
No matter the weather, you’ll never run out of things to do on this beauty as it’s kitted out with a sports bar, theatre, gym, WiFi, a large upper deck Jacuzzi plus a variety of toys including jetskis, sailing dinghies, bicycles and scuba gear. US$ 550,000.00 per week.
OHANA
, Hawaiian name for ‘family,’ but, ironically the luxury motor yacht of the same name is available for charter in Caribbean and the Bahamas.
Designed by Donald Starkey and built in 1998 by Admiral Marine works, the 49 meter ship features a glamorous circular staircase that allows access to the entire ship through every deck, something that is normally found only on bigger yachts. Onboard toys include Sea Doos, water skis and a water trampoline. US $140,000 per week.
Set sail for a relaxing vacation in the Bahamas or the Caribbean on the luxury
MY IRIS
. Made by Trinity Yachts in 2003, thealuminum hulled yacht accommodates 10 people in five cabins.
Toys and entertainment facilities include large TVs on outside decks, iPod inputs, a deck Jacuzzi pool, waterskis, a kneeboard, wakeboards, and inflatable tube, diving gear and a dive compressor, snorkeling equipment and fishing gear. US$ 165,000 per week
.
Leave it to the Italians to design a super luxurious boat with glamorous interior design details. Decked out with an Art Deco interior and measuring 54 meters, the luxury motor yacht STARFIRE was built by Benetti boatyard in 1998 and accommodates 12 guests in 6 rooms.
Stay indoors and enjoy the ambience provided by custom furniture and stylish fabrics or go outside to enjoy the barbeque or deck Jacuzzi. $US 288,000 per week.
Launched in 2007 by Dutch shipyard OceAnco, the
MY ALFA NERO
is one of the most unique luxurious superyachts on the water. Measuring 82 metres, the exteriors were designed by Nuvolari & Lenard while the interiors are from Alberto Pinto. The yacht features pop-art inspired décor with a nautical theme apparent in details such as staghorn coral-inspired side tables.
There’s also a staircase wrapping around the glass elevator shaft, a massage room, 2 massage pools and a gym. But the showstopper is deck ‘beach club:’ a massive pool with a floor that raises to transform it into a dance floor or helipad. 840,000 Euro per week.
