Sofitel Luxury Hotels has commissioned designer and fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld to design the new Sofitel So Singapore emblem as part of the brand’s significant expansion into Asia. Previous collaborations included, Kenzo Takadaprovided for Sofitel So Mauritius and Christian Lacroix for Sofitel So Bangkok.

“Having Karl Lagerfeld as the ‘Signature Designer’ for the distinctive Sofitel So Singapore was an obvious choice to us, allowing us to pay homage to the country’s symbolic heritage building with an iconic design collaboration,” commentedBobby Hiranandani, Managing Director of Royal Group Holdings. “We are confident that this unprecedented partnership will galvanize the success of the boutique luxury hotel and offer guests a remarkable hospitality experience in true Sofitel style.”

The new emblem will appear on a range of exclusive objects available to guests during their stay at 35 Robinson Road, one of Singapore most prestigious addresses located within minutes of iconic landmarks. The Lagerfeld emblem will symbolise the hotel’s new trendy ‘designer style’, a style that will be unique to Sofitel So Singapore.

“I am very proud to announce this inspirational collaboration, which is a perfect illustration of Sofitel Luxury Hotels’ ambitions with regard to excellence and elegance. His exceptional creativity and talent will confer on our emblem the ultimate touch of refinement and enhance our concept,” saidRobert Gaymer-Jones, CEO of Sofitel Luxury on the partnership.

Sofitel So hotels will soon pop up in such locations as Mumbai , Rio de Janeiro and Sydney.
