True to its name, this nondescript country of South Africa may not have what they call, “the high-end night outs” nor is the city deafening ears with endless music blaring at the funky discotheques. It may not have the choicest of eating joints catering to multi-ethnic visitors… but the country is a paradise which has still managed to preserve its innate beauty and gain global acknowledgement for the same, nevertheless against the onslaught of internet and technology.
Officially coined as the Republic of Namibia, the country is home to exquisite sand dunes, rocky sites, untamed wild life and some of the most glorious deserts in the world. With so much to offer, Namibia is truly a beauty. If not sure what to do in Namibia, here are a few of our favorites.

Ai-/Ais Richtersveld Transfrontier Park
This is the premiere Transfrontier Conservation Park of the country which essentially covers a stark and arid ground. Out of its many natural geological structures, the Fish River Canyon has gained limelight world-over for its spectacular views. This is the second largest canyon in the world, measuring 27 km in width and 550 meters in depth. As one explores this area, one is simply left dumb at the incredible natural structures that have taken shape over a time of millions of years. The structure of the park is indeed a tough competition for those who love hiking and adventure travel.
Bwabwata National Park
This National Park seems like a never ending conservation area as it sprawls over a good area of 6100 Km. It easily touches a hairy arm of the Caprivi strip. The park is home to more than thousand of animals of varying species, well flourishing in their supporting environments. Some of the exquisite animals found in the park include the elephant, impala reedbuck, the hippopotamus, Chobe bushbuck, giraffe, sable and roan. Beautiful and distinct species of fauna are found in three predominant zones of the park, namely, the thick woodlands, The Okavango and Kwando River.

Daan Viljoen Game Park
Daan Viljoen Game Park is the perfect getaway for the tourists and visitors looking to spend their weekend. Located in the west of Windhoek, the park has a huge variety of fauna, over 200 species of birds and distinct animals. Some of the residents of the park are zebra, the rock dassie, the gemsbok eland, kudu, eland, springbok and more. A drive at the park and a short stay at the nearby resorts offer the perfect weekend treat for visitors staying nearby.
Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area
One of the largest conservation areas, Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area, is a splendid home to many species that have been facing the danger of extinction. This unbelievably huge project is a collaborative efforts by countries like Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe to preserve flora and fauna and thrive them in an environment closest to their natural habitat.
