The Joule Dallas – Stunning Infinity Pool

The Joule, a striking luxury boutique hotel in downtown Dallas famous for its cantilevered glass rooftop pool, is scheduled to receive a $78 million renovation and expansion including a new spa, event and meeting spaces, guest rooms, recording studio, Charlie Palmer dining experience and more.

Renowned interior designer Adam D. Tihany will be at the head of the project, who plans on creating a contemporary design perfect for the savvy and modern traveler. The new Joule Dallas will grow to nearly an entire city block, adding 2,500 square feet to the hotel’s lobby, 10, 000 square feet of function space, a 600-square foot screening room with seating for 25 and a 1,350-square foot recording studio, an 8,000 square-foot subterranean spa as well as a 4,000 square-foot rooftop terrace and garden that can accommodate 500 people.

The Joule Dallas public spaces will continue to show remarkable artwork from such artists like Andy Warhol, Barry Flanagan, Wayne Gonzales, Richard Philips and Adam Fuss carefully selected by the hotel’s art curator John Runyon.

Artwork from a new artist- to be announced soon – will be added to the hotel’s collection. The urban hotel’s art collection will also include historic mosaics from the original Mercantile National Bank Building, original pieces rescued by Tim Headington, the hotel’s owner, at the time of the buildings renovation.

The renovation and expansion of the Joule Dallas is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2012.
